Great addition to the series。 No sign of slowing down。 The Ghostbusters make an appearance for good measure。 The garbage Turtles in Time mini knocked off a star。

OMG, the ending here is the WORST cliffhanger ever。 Thankfully I already have the next book ready to go。

Turtles in Time is awesome。

Turtles in Time was ok。 Turtles/Ghostbusters was a big yawn。The rest, however, was freaking awesome。 The best issues are the ones by Eastman and Waltz。Still lovin the series。。。 but not crazy about the side quests in this volume。

The best volume of this series so far。 The fun and variety of the Turtles in Time and Ghostbuster arcs as well as a great ever building main story which culminates in a wonderful finale。 highly recommend this volume

4。5。 The main story line continues on a great pace。。the ending is a great cliffhanger。。makes me want the next volume now。 The ghost buster story was a good change up for something a little different but it wasnt as good as the main story

Main story continues to be a fun, thrilling ride。 Everything in this volume really culminates with the last 4 issue arc in this series and it's a fast-paced blast that was a lot of fun。 The cliffhanger makes me want to jump right into Vol。 6 (as I was warned by a friend)。 The crossover with The Ghostbusters was ok - maybe 3 stars (although it did make me interested in re-watching the original movie) - otherwise this volume might have been 4。5 stars overall。 Main story continues to be a fun, thrilling ride。 Everything in this volume really culminates with the last 4 issue arc in this series and it's a fast-paced blast that was a lot of fun。 The cliffhanger makes me want to jump right into Vol。 6 (as I was warned by a friend)。 The crossover with The Ghostbusters was ok - maybe 3 stars (although it did make me interested in re-watching the original movie) - otherwise this volume might have been 4。5 stars overall。 。。。more

The main story here continues to be good, but half of this volume is side stories--Turtles in Time and Turtles and Ghostbusters--and those were pretty poor。

A solid, if uneven, addition to the TMNT story。I really love this series, and this is a solid book, but it is a bit of a mixed bag。 This book contains two miniseries, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters。 Turtles in time is fun, and the stories all add a little something to flesh out the universe, but they often felt a bit short。 Basically the Turtles spend 4 issues in 4 different time periods, but each time period could easily have been 2-3 A solid, if uneven, addition to the TMNT story。I really love this series, and this is a solid book, but it is a bit of a mixed bag。 This book contains two miniseries, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Ghostbusters。 Turtles in time is fun, and the stories all add a little something to flesh out the universe, but they often felt a bit short。 Basically the Turtles spend 4 issues in 4 different time periods, but each time period could easily have been 2-3 issues a piece which leaves the stories feeling a bit rushed。 Still, they're fun so I can't complain。 The Ghostbusters crossover is also kinda fun, but super inconsequential。 It doesn't help it lands just as the main storyline is getting ready to heat up so it feels like an ill timed pause。The main story fares better, but has some of the same problems。 I really enjoy the Mutanimals, but the writers engage in one of my pet peeves with comics and make characters basically invincible。 They manage to drop and entire building on Bebop and Rocksteady without really injuring them which seems a bit extreme。 Still, it's a fun story and we're starting to see IDW delve into some of the wackier characters from the TMNT universe。 The fact that they can make Herman Crab or Mondo Gecko feel even remotely plausible in this world is a testament to the writers。Finally the last chunk of the book really makes things work。 It's a cliffhanger, but it finally brings some much needed tension back into the action and has a number of surprising but believable twists。 This volume won't always be your favourite, but in the end it will leave you itching to read volume 6。 。。。more

How are they keepin' this so fresh? How are they keepin' this so fresh? 。。。more

Even with the miniseries not flowing perfectly into the main story, this remains fantastic

Powerful part of the main arc with sweet, sad, and funny moments。 Turtles in Time did a really cool job of connecting with the main storyline but wished the Ghostbusters crossover did it more than just a cursory connection。

Another great series of comics and another great story。 I love the Turtles and I continue to grow that love with these great IDW collections。 They are amazing and really make the reading experience so much better for someone who missed out on the original run of these comics and wants to read them in the order they were meant to be read。 Although this collection ended with more sadness than I'd expected, I'm excited to see how they go forward from here and what happens to my favorite mutants。 Another great series of comics and another great story。 I love the Turtles and I continue to grow that love with these great IDW collections。 They are amazing and really make the reading experience so much better for someone who missed out on the original run of these comics and wants to read them in the order they were meant to be read。 Although this collection ended with more sadness than I'd expected, I'm excited to see how they go forward from here and what happens to my favorite mutants。 。。。more

Volume 5 starts off with the Turtles in Time mini-series which is fun and reminiscent of the old games。 The ghostbuster crossover is also in this volume and was fantastic。 The main story picks up steam again and ends with one heck of a cliffhanger。 The quality has not dipped at all in 40+ issues and I am excited to start volume 6。

The TMNT series with IDW continues to be some of the best Turtles story out there。 It has decades of iterations to pick the best tidbits from to weave into a story that is familiar yet unique。 The story is relatively deep for a Turtles comic, being more than merely "good vs。 evil" with various factions and allegiances all with their own motivations that all come to a head in the conclusion of this collection。Beyond the main storyline there are also some really fun detours。 Things start out with The TMNT series with IDW continues to be some of the best Turtles story out there。 It has decades of iterations to pick the best tidbits from to weave into a story that is familiar yet unique。 The story is relatively deep for a Turtles comic, being more than merely "good vs。 evil" with various factions and allegiances all with their own motivations that all come to a head in the conclusion of this collection。Beyond the main storyline there are also some really fun detours。 Things start out with the 4 part "Turtles in Time" mini series, which will absolutely appeal to anyone who played Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo at home and wished they made a movie out of it。。。 or who saw TMNT 3 in theaters and wished it had been better。 Time travel is nothing new for our mutants, but it proves to be a real delight here。Plus, there is the 4 part TMNT/Ghostbusters crossover。 8 year old me would have squealed in delight and well, 33 year old me kinda did too。 I had actually read this before in trade paperback from out of the continuity of the rest of the series, and it held up fine, but reading it here after reading the previous entries of Turtles kind of helped me put it in context。Simply put, if you have liked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at any point in your life, do yourself a favor and read IDW's comic series of them。 。。。more

Wow。。。just wow。 This was great! I really enjoyed their choices of artists throughout most if this which is not always the case the way they switch up art styles as they go。 The asides were fantastic, with a fun rump through time and a crossover with the Ghostbusters, both of which tied back I to their primary narrative。 And they tied up a lot of important storylines in this one so it was very climactic。 But where they left it。。。I will go nuts waiting for the next one。 Just wow。

Jonathan

The definitive narrative of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continues in another stellar volume from IDW。 If you love the TMNT read this series。

Talk about a major cliff-hanger。
